Guru means teacher in Sanskrit.

Meaning : The letter ‘gu (गु)’ in the word ‘Guru (गुरु)’ refers to darkness (ignorance) while the letter ‘ru (रु)’ refers to light (spiritual knowledge or Truth)

the Truth, is inside us all, we only need to become aware.

It is the light of consciousness, being Awake

Everyday, making a sincere effort to work on yourself.

Don’t let disappointments set you back, just pick yourself up and keep practicing; learn to listen to yourself.

Be guided from your heart

The word guru is often misunderstood, often referred to as “guide”. it’s good to have a guide or a teacher but not to depend too heavily there. It’s important to practice being self Aware and always have the door of learning open.

A good teacher is useful because he/she has long practiced something,  and so they are wise in this knowledge. The teacher is external.

“When the student is ready the teacher appears” buddhist wisdom

From the teacher, take what is useful and leave what is not.

It is the knowledge that is followed, not the personality.

The subject is given importance not the individual.

Awareness of our own consciousness (the inner light) reveals the Truth to us. Our Teachers are there to inspire us and bring light to self awareness

Be guided by the light that is inside you

the purpose of teacher or Guru is to introduce us to this light

Be guided by the light that is already within you.

Yoga science teaches us to find our inner selves, to be conscious and awake

Learning to listen to our heart, be guided by own lamps, not the voice of ego nor the that of another

Be the light
