Hi avid photographers. It is time we revive this group and therefor I would like to suggest another outing, going to Flint and Steel beach as I find they have the most incredible sandstones. and i am sure we could take some great fotos. may be even have a picnic there as it isn’t just around the corner. Date suggested: 17th of October or 7th of November. Come on, let’s do it.

Not sure if I dreamed it or if I had an email from you Suzi for a foto outing on Cockatoo island. Thanks for that, and sorry for not replying but I was on holidays. Would love to do another outing though and happy to organise it if the others are interested. Hope you had a good day….

Anyone know the difference between a Canon 400D and a Canon 10G?
- John Reekie · 2 years, 11 months ago
Hi Suzi – I don’t speak Canon but from what I can gather the 400D is an SLR and the 10G is not. There is a world of difference… between the two worlds. In general, an SLR has a larger sensor, interchangeable and better lenses, and better image quality. On the down side, an SLR does require a commitment – not just to the camera, but to the system i.e. bodies lenses etc.

Okay, let’s see if this appears somewhere. Still trying to find my way around the site but I am sure I will get there eventually. Thanks again to you fotografer guys for the Saturday outdoor experience, I did learn some things and am taking lots of shots wiht my finally discovered multifunctional camera. Looking forward to see more nice shots here and of course to our next outdoor meeting. Who was organising it again????

I think I dobbed in Tania but anybody could offer… ! Do you have any ideas?
- Barbara · 2 years, 12 months ago
Well I am happy to do it, in the end it really is only about seting a date and letting everyone know. I am away next weekend but may be the first weekend in June, meaning the Saturday again. Actually I have an idea, we could go to Kuringai to Flint and Steel beach, there are some amazing rock formations. Just an idea
Thanks for offering to help I have found the upload button……….- John Reekie · 2 years, 11 months ago
Weather forecast says it is raining heavily till at least the end of the week
Anyway, perhaps a new thread needed to organize the next one? I’ll start one.

OK! We’re getting this outdoor photographer show on the road!! Our inaugural outing will be Saturday May 15th, meeting around 1:30 PM. Not sure where we’re going yet, but join this group and post your ideas. I’ll be adding a new feature soon – a shared blog for this group. So everybody who comes along will be able to post their own photos and writeup.
AND – if you are not a photographer yet but would like to try, I have two extra bodies and with macro lenses that I can loan to anyone who would like to come along and learn.
